Vigilance throughout summer and the foreseeable future remains essential. The licensed security sector plays a critical part in public safety and responding to threats as and when they occur.
In this season, like all other seasons, many licensed security operatives will be working and keeping the public safe in towns and cities across the UK.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office. We are responsible for keeping the public safe through the effective regulation of the private security industry.
We donât do it alone. Public safety is a team effort. We liaise with multiple organisations including law enforcement forces to ensure the UK public can stay safe. The UK public is also a critical stakeholder in ensuring safety for everyone by staying vigilant and reporting anything that doesnât feel right to the nearest licensed security operative or police.
You can help us spread safety critical awareness messages this summer. Please look out for safety and vigilance messages from our social media channels and share on your own social media channels to help keep everyone safe.
You can also download the social media posts directly from this page and share on your social media channels. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe!
