Staying alert during the winter festive period and beyond is vital. Licensed security professionals are integral to protecting the public and responding swiftly when threats emerge.
During the festive period, as throughout the year, thousands of licensed security operatives will be on duty safeguarding communities in towns and cities nationwide.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office. Our role is to protect the public through robust regulation of the private security industry.
Keeping people safe requires collective action. We work closely with law enforcement partners and other organisations to maintain public safety across the UK.
Members of the public are equally vital to this effort—by remaining vigilant and reporting concerns to the nearest licensed security operative, member of staff or police officer, everyone can contribute to a safer environment.
